I just had my laptop upgraded to windows 10. i have a printer/scanner that used to work well with my windows 8.1 laptop, now after i upgraded to windows 10, believing that there will be no issues like these, my laptop can't detect my scanner now (or the scanner-part of my printer).. Install or add a wireless printer. go to start > settings > devices > printers and scanners.; select add a printer or scanner.wait for it to find nearby printers, then choose the one you want to use and select add device.; if your printer is on and connected to the network, windows should find it easily.. In windows 10, your default can be the printer you last used. to turn on this mode, open start and select settings > devices > printers & scanners . select the checkbox beside let windows manage my default printer ..
Windows 7 - scanning a document: device not ready error
I have a brother dcp 8155-dn multifunction scanner/printer. after upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10, my desktop computer stopped recognizing the scanner.. I have just upgraded to windows 10 and now i am unable to scan from the printer to the computer. i can scan the other way ie. from computer to scanner but that is not as convenient. i didn't have the issue before the upgrade..
